$1 Million Powerball Winning Ticket Sold On Long Island

GARDEN CITY, NY — A person who bought a Powerball ticket on Long Island was just a number away from winning a $150 million Powerball jackpot on Saturday night, but they will still take home a cool $1 million (that is before Uncle Sam gets his cut).

There were two second-prize winning tickets sold for Saturday's drawing, including a ticket sold at the Mobil gas station at 791 Stewart Ave. in Garden City, the New York Lottery announced Sunday morning.

The winning numbers for Saturday's drawing were: 2-39-50-61-66 and Powerball No. 15. The jackpot for Monday night's drawing is up to $157 million.

Powerball tickets are sold for $2 in 44 states, plus the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands.
