2 Officers Struck By Driver, Charged For 24 Crimes Since Jan.: Police
Vincent Fredricks faces charges that include robbery, assault and grand larceny, police said.

WESTBURY, NY — An Oceanside man was arrested for an assault that took place this week, and nearly two dozen other crimes since January, police said.
On Monday evening, Nassau County detectives spotted a black BMW heading westbound on West John Street in Westbury. A man was driving and a woman was in the front passenger seat.
The BMW was reported stolen and was used in multiple crimes across Nassau County, police said.

When the vehicle parked on Old Country Road, officers approached the car. However, the driver, Vincent Fredricks, 21, refused to follow officers' commands, hit the gas and struck two officers, police said.
He fled on Old Country Road. Following an investigation, Fredricks and Pia Califano, 20, of Levittown, were arrested without incident.

The injured officers were taken to an area hospital for evaluation and treatment.
Police said 23 cases connected to Fredricks from Jan. 29-March 4 were closed out.
Califano was issued an appearance ticket returnable on March 18.
Fredricks faces charges that include robbery, assault, grand larceny, reckless endangerment and criminal possession of stolen property.
He was expected to be arraigned on Friday.
