Farmingdale Village Adds More Electric Vehicle Charging Stations
"They help our community become greener..."

FARMINGDALE, NY — The Village of Farmingdale has installed new electric vehicle charging stations as part of its ongoing commitment to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and its carbon footprint.
Farmingdale Mayor Ralph Ekstrand said the charging stations serve a dual purpose.
"They help our community become greener and give the apartment and condo residents the ability to charge E-vehicles," he said.

The village installed three new dual-port and one new single-port electric vehicle charging stations. These stations are located in the rear of Parking Lot 3, which is south of Cornelia Street.
The charging stations were funded in part by a $50,000 grant from the NYS Research and Development Authority, and the project was supported by INFO Associates.
