27-Year-Old Man Killed In Long Island Motorcycle Crash

Police say his motorcycle collided with a car in the late afternoon, killing him. The incident is still under investigation.

HEMPSTEAD, NY — Nassau County police are investigating after a crash in Hempstead Friday afternoon killed a man on a motorcycle.

According to police, a 27-year-old man was driving a 2002 Honda motorcycle southwest on Peninsula Boulevard in Hempstead at 4:33 p.m. when it was involved in a crash with a 2008 Toyota Camry near Madison Avenue.

The motorcyclist, who police have not yet named, suffered serious injuries. He was taken to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead by a doctor.

The driver of the Toyota, a 39-year-old man, remained at the scene. He was not injured.

Police say the investigation is ongoing.
