$7,500 Stolen, Moments After Withdrawal From Nassau Bank: Police

CARLE PLACE, NY — A man, who withdrew money from a bank in Carle Place, had $7,600 stolen from his vehicle on Wednesday afternoon, police said.

The 63-year-old man had just taken money out of his account at Chase Bank on 400 Old Country Road, police said.

The victim realized he had taken out too much and went back inside the bank to deposit the excess, leaving $7,600 in his parked vehicle.

When he returned to the car, the passenger side window was damaged the money was stolen, authorities said.

Police are investigating.
