Army National Guard Soldier from Garden City Promoted
Gasper Giarratano of Garden City has been promoted to specialist.
Major General Patrick A. Murphy, the Adjutant General for the State of New York, recently announced the promotion of members of the New York Army National Guard, including Gasper Giarratano from Garden City.
In recognition of his "capability for additional responsibility and leadership," Giarratano, serving with the 442d Military Police Company, has been promoted to the rank of specialist.
Army National Guard promotions are based on overall performance, attitude, leadership ability and development potential.
