CDC Alerts Consumers To Beef From HelloFresh Contaminated With E.Coli
The meat was sent out in HelloFresh deliveries in July. Anyone who froze it should throw it away immediately.

NEW YORK STATE — Ground beef that was sent out in HelloFresh food deliveries has been linked to multiple people became sick with E.coli, including one person from New York.
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, seven illnesses and six hospitalizations were linked to contaminated ground beef that was sent out in HelloFresh packages between July 2 and July 21.
The contaminated meat was sent in vacuum-packed 10 ounce packages, labeled “GROUND BEEF 85% LEAN/15% FAT.” The packages have “EST.46841” inside the USDA inspection mark and “EST#46841 L1 22 155” or “EST#46841 L5 22 155” on the side of the packaging.

The CDC said that anyone who has frozen the meat should throw it away immediately. You should also wash any surfaces or containers that touched the meat with hot, soapy water.

- Diarrhea and a fever higher than 102°F
- Diarrhea for more than 3 days that is not improving
- Bloody diarrhea
- So much vomiting that you cannot keep liquids down
- Signs of dehydration, such as not peeing much, dry mouth and throat, and feeling dizzy when standing
