Garden City Appoints Asst. Superintendent With 25 Years Of Experience
Dr. Alice Bowman begins her position as assistant superintendent for curriculum and instruction on July 1.

GARDEN CITY, NY — The Garden City Public Schools have named a new educator.
Dr. Alice M. Bowman has been appointed as the next assistant superintendent for curriculum and instruction.
She brings nearly 25 years of experience as an educator and leader to Garden City. Most recently she served as assistant superintendent for the Pelham Union Free School District.

This isn't Bowman's time working on Long Island.
She was assistant principal and English chairperson at Floral Park Memorial High School in the Sewanhaka Central High School District and was principal at Plainview-Old Bethpage Middle School.

"Her exceptional track record in education and leadership, combined with her innovative approach to curriculum development, makes her an invaluable addition to our team," said Superintendent of Schools Dr. Kusum Sinha." Bowman holds a doctorate degree in educational leadership and policy studies
from Hofstra University, administration certificate from The College of Saint Rose, Master
of Science from Hofstra, and a Bachelor of English from Stony Brook University.
She will start on July 1.
