Garden City's Jill Forie Named to Adelphi's '10 Under 10'
Resident's alma mater recognizes her exceptional career and personal accomplishments within 10 years of graduating.
Jill Forie of Garden City graduated from Adelphi in 2011 with a degree in art education.
Her alma mater's 10 Under 10 program has recognized Forie for achieving "exceptional career and personal accomplishments within 10 years of graduating."
Forie and many graduates like her have established their own businesses, made advancements in their respective professions, given back to the community and held roles with extensive responsibility.
Adelphi celebrates and showcases the successes of its young alumni.
Forie is now an art teacher in the Carle Place School District. While at Adelphi she established her own business, Sink or Swim Custom Kicks, through which she creates and sells custom hand painted shoes.
She has volunteered for Soles4Souls and has traveled to Haiti on her own to deliver art supplies for children at the House of Hope orphanage and started an arts enrichment program there.
