Rain Likely New Year's Eve On Long Island After Warm, Sunny Week
If you have outdoor plans to celebrate the new year, you may want to reconsider. Or at least bring an umbrella.

LONG ISLAND, NY — Temperatures will climb back above freezing this week as the artic blast that hits the area dissipates. But those looking to spend their New Year's Eve outdoors may have to find other plans.
Today's temperatures will peak around 35 degrees, according to the National Weather Service, and get warmer throughout the week. The high will be in the low 50s by Saturday.
Skies will also be clear and sunny for the rest of the week, with only a few clouds here and there. Unfortunately, that clear weather won't hold out.
