LONG ISLAND, NY — After a wet and dreary week, sun is finally returning to Long Island this weekend.

The rain should finally taper off this afternoon, according to the National Weather Service, though clouds will remain. But those will clear tomorrow, giving Long Island the first sunny day in a while.

Sunny skies will stick around well into next week, too.
