Lidl Opening Garden City Park Location On June 15
Customers who come for the ribbon cutting can get gift cards and other prizes, the store said.

GARDEN CITY PARK, NY — Lidl, the European grocery store chain that has been expanding across Long Island, is opening its latest store in the area in Garden City Park on June 15.
The store, which is located at 2475 Jericho Turnpike, will be open from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily. Local officials will join Lidl employees for a ribbon cutting at 7:40 a.m. the first day of the store's operation.
Customers who come for the ribbon cutting can win special prizes. The first 100 people in line before the ribbon cutting will be given gift cards ranging from $5 to $100. Shoppers can also enter to win a $500 gift card, sample some Lidl products and get some special giveaways.

From Wednesday through Sunday in its opening week, the Garden City Park Lidl will partner with Long Island Cares to help feed people in the community. The store will donate $1 to the food bank for every new myLidl member who signs up and sets the Garden City Park location as their home store.
The Garden City Park will be Lidl's 23 location on Long Island. The company said the store will employ 45 people in full- and part-time positions.
