Man Arrested After Sexual Assaulting Teenage Girl In Nassau: Police

HEMPSTEAD, NY — A Brooklyn man was arrested after sexually assaulting a 17-year-old girl on Friday in Hempstead, police said.

Manuel Lopez Gil, 30, was arrested by special victims detectives. The NYPD assisted in the arrest on Saturday in Brooklyn, police said.

Lopez Gil is charged with two counts of first-degree rape and first-degree sexual abuse, police said.

He was expected to be arraigned on Sunday.
