Man Charged in Franklin Square Burglary
A man was charged with breaking into Plattdeutsch Restaurant early Wednesday morning, cops said.

A man faces charges after he was caught burglarizing a Franklin Square restaurant Wednesday, according to Nassau County Police.
Cops said they received a call at 2:15 a.m. about a man seen inside and quickly leaving Plattdeutsch Restaurant, located at 1132 Hempstead Turnpike.
Responding officers saw a man running toward a nearby property and, after a brief search, found him and took him into custody, cops said.

Rimel Myers, 26, of Hempstead, was found with a computer bag containing a digital camera, keys, jewelry, projector, iPod touch, laptop, computer cables, and a checkbook, police said. Myers had stolen the items after breaking a basement window at Plattdeutsch, cops said.
Myers was charged with third-degree burglary and will be arraigned Wednesday at First District Court in Hempstead.
