Police ID Man Killed In Nassau Shooting, Ask Public To Come Forward

Police released the name of the 19-year-old man who was killed, and asked anyone with information about the shooting to come forward.

HEMPSTEAD, NY — Nassau County police have identified the man killed in a shooting in Hempstead over the weekend, are are still asking anyone with information to come forward.

According to police, officers responded to a call for shots fired near 77 Terrace Ave. at 10:10 p.m. on June 4. Four people had been shot.

A 19-year-old man from Hempstead was taken to a hospital, where he died from his wounds at 10:54 p.m. Police have identified him as Jaden Omaree Johnson.

A 23-year-old man from Hempstead was shot in the ankle. A 35-year-old man from Westbury was shot in the leg. And a 31-year-old man from Hempstead was shot in the thigh. They were all taken to a hospital and are in stable condition. Police have not released any of their names.

Police ask anyone with information about this shooting to call Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS, or call 911. All callers will remain anonymous.
