'Check Any Camera Footage You Have:' 79-Year-Old Great Neck Woman Reported Still Missing One Week Later
"We are urgently needing everyone's help to bring her home."

GREAT NECK, NY — The search is still underway for a 79-year-old woman who has been reported missing and last seen in Great Neck on Dec. 16, police said.
Nassau County police said Shi Hua Xu is an Asian female, 5-feet tall, 95 lbs., with gray and black hair, and brown eyes.
Police said she was last seen wearing a red jacket, black pants, and shoes.

Daughter-in-law and Great Neck resident, Joey Chow, is asking Long Island residents to check their video footage from Dec. 16 until Dec. 23 in the chance the cameras picked up footage of Shi Hua Xu.
"We are urgently needing everyone's help to bring her home," she said. "It's cold and dark. Please share, stay alert, and check any camera footage you have."

She is also asking Long Islanders, especially Great Neck residents, to check their property, yards, garages, and sheds, as "she might be hiding in a quiet area."
Chow added that Shi Hua Xu has Alzheimer's and will need medical assistance– she might refuse to get help.
"She walks fast and is always talking to herself," Chow said.
She continued, sharing how the community has already stepped up in support.
"We are overwhelmed by how much support we are getting from the community," Chow said. "Hundreds of people came out to search for her for days."
