Results Are In From Nassau Special Election
See which candidate will succeed Siela Bynoe in the County Legislature.

UNIONDALE, NY — Democrat Olena Nicks is heading to the Nassau County Legislature. The former Uniondale Public Library trustee declared victory in Tuesday's special District 2 election against Republican Karin Campbell, Newsday said.
The seat is being filled after Siela Bynoe became a state senator.
Unofficial results from the Nassau County Board of Elections show Nicks with 87 percent of the vote, according to Newsday.

Nicks, a Uniondale High School graduate, has served as a 2nd Lieutenant in the Uniondale Fire Department.
