String Of Nassau Burglaries Leads To Multiple Arrests: Police

The burglaries took place during a 10-day span last December.

GARDEN CITY, NY — Three men were arrested for a string of Garden City burglaries in December, police said.

In one instance, a home's rear sliding door was broken into on Brook Street and assorted jewelry and $1,000 was taken, police said.

Eight days later, at least three men broke into the rear sliding door at a home on Meadow Street. No items were stolen. The house alarm sounded and the suspects fled, police said.

On another occasion, four men forced open a second-floor window of a Pine Street home, police said.

Detectives from Garden City and Nassau County, conducting surveillance on Thursday, when they suspects were stopped by NYPD for a vehicle and traffic violation, while returning to Queens from Danbury, Connecticut, police said.

Sergio Rodriguez-Lopez, 36, of Queens, is charged with three counts of second-degree burglary.
Adolfo Montes-Gomez, 40, Garden City, is charged with two counts of second-degree burglary.
2 nd degree. Brandon Montano, 29, Queens, is charged with second-degree burglary. Stephen Montenegro, 42, Jamestown, NY, is charged with second-degree burglary, police said.

They are part of the South American Theft group and there are ongoing investigations being conducted with Suffolk County Police Department and Danbury Police Department, Nassau police said.
