Senior Fall Picnic, Free Lecture Today

What's on tap Thursday in Garden City.

Village Board Meeting: The Garden City village board of trustees will meet Thursday at 8 p.m. in the village hall boardroom. All residents are encouraged to attend. For the full agenda, click here.

Free Lecture
: Friends of the Garden City Public Library will sponsor a free one-hour lecture, “DeClutter Your Stuff; DeClutter Your Life” Thursday at the library beginning at 2 p.m. Dr. Duffy Spencer, a social psychologist and Imago relationship therapist specializing in self-esteem building and positive change management, will lead the discussion. Seating and parking is limited and on a first-come basis. No tickets are required.

Senior Fall Picnic
: The Department of Recreation and Parks will hold its annual Senior Fall Picnic on the grounds of St. Paul's, next to the Community Garden, Thursday at noon. Nearly 200 Garden City seniors attended last year's picnic. The event is free for resident seniors but registration is a must by calling 465-4075.

Traffic Commission Meeting
: Members of the village's Traffic Commission will meet at 7 p.m. in the village hall boardroom. All residents are encouraged to attend. For the full agenda, click here.
