• John LaMere 'Playing songs people forgot they remember' (keysnews.com) — A Glen Head pub, the Iron Horse Bar, gave local musician John LaMere his first paying gig back in 1990, launching a 35‑year career playing Long Island bars. Raised in nearby Glen Cove and inspired by a musical family legacy, he taught himself guitar in college and soon was performing about 20 nights a month across the Island.
