Harvey Weinstein Accuser To Speak At Union Square Barnes & Noble
Rose McGowan, one of multiple actresses to accuse the Hollywood producer of sexual harassment and assault, will discuss her new book.

UNION SQUARE, NY — The actress Rose McGowan, one of the most prominent women to accuse Hollywood producer Harvey Weinstein of harassment and rape, will speak Wednesday at the Union Square Barnes & Noble.
McGowan is promoting her new book "Brave," a memoir about her experience in Hollywood.
McGowan has become one of the most vocal activists in the ongoing cultural reckoning over sexual harassment and assault in the workplace.

In October, the New York Times reported that Weinstein had paid her a $100,000 settlement in 1997 after an encounter between the then-23-year-old McGowan and Weinstein in a hotel room during the Sundance Film Festival. The New York Times and the New Yorker detailed accounts from numerous women who said the powerful producer had leveraged his stance in Hollywood against women.
McGowan later said that she was raped by Weinstein inside the hotel room. Weinstein has denied allegations of rape.

Since the Times and the New Yorker published their reports, numerous other men have been accused of sexual misconduct amid an ongoing conversation about harassment in the workplace. McGowan has become one of the most active women in Hollywood in the discussion over sexual harassment.
McGowan will discuss her new book on Wednesday at 7 p.m. at Barnes & Noble, 33 E. 17th St.
