Homeless Man Arrested For Beating MTA Bus Driver, Police Say
The man grabbed the 28-year-old woman through the driver's side window and viciously pummeled her, police said.
KIPS BAY, NY — Police cuffed a homeless man for brutally beating a MTA bus driver in Manhattan Friday night, authorities said.
Sharif Pasha, 42, got off the bus at Waterside Plaza in Kips Bay at 10 p.m. when he walked over to the driver's side window. He grabbed the 28-year-old driver and repeatedly punched the woman in her face and chest, police said.
The attacker fled the scene, but was caught about an hour later near the 30th Street Men’s Shelter near First Avenue, where he lives, according to police.

Pasha was charged with assault. The MTA driver was rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment and is stable condition, police said.
