
KIPS BAY, NY — Police are searching for a Kips Bay man who has been missing since Oct. 1, they said on Monday.
Llya Vugmeyster, 34, was last seen on Oct. 1 at about 9 a.m., police said. The Kips Bay resident was also spotted recently in the Midtown and Greenwich Village neighborhoods, according to the NYPD. His last listed address was a homeless shelter in the Kips Bay neighborhood, according to authorities.
Police are asking anyone who has seen Vugmeyster or might know where he is to contact them: Anyone with information in regards to the missing person is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782). The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the Crime stoppers website at WWW.NYPDCRIMESTOPPERS.COM or by texting their tips to 274637 (CRIMES) then enter TIP577.
