Murray Hill Assailant Arrested: Police
Police arrested a man who they say was responsible for hitting a woman on the head with an unknown object in Murray Hill last month.

Police said Friday that they arrested Darnell Williams and charged him with attempted robbery, assault and attempted grand larceny. Police claim that Williams assaulted a woman last month and hit her repeatedly with an "unknown object."
According to the police account, Williams approached the woman as she walked past 620 2nd Ave. and hit her on the head before grabbing her bag and pulling her to the ground. Williams continued to "repeatedly hit the victim in the head with the unknown object," police said in a statement. He fled the area empty-handed.
