This Murray Hill Mexican Restaurant Is Among The Best In The U.S.

MURRAY HILL, NY — A new list of the country's best Mexican restaurants includes one right in Murray Hill.

Thrillist has named Cosme, located at 35 E. 21st St., one of the 31 best Mexican restaurants in the U.S. in a new ranking.

"With Daniela Soto-Innes helming the ship, the kitchen serves up delights like a broccoli tamal with goat ricotta, arugula and sizzling wasabi and an al pastor dish that replaces the traditional pork with thin slices of cobia topped with paper-thin wheels of chile and onion ribbons," Thrillist writes about the dining spot.

Cosme was opened by Enrique Olvera in 2014, and since then the restaurant has raked in starred reviews. Eater named its squash tamal one of New York's best splurges, and the New York Times selected the restaurant as a critic's pick in 2015, writing that the cooking "is a thrill."
