Teen Daredevil Arrested For Climbing 51-Story Murray Hill Skyscraper, Police Say

Justin Casquejo was arrested after scaling a Murray Hill high-rise, police said.

MURRAY HILL, NY — The teen daredevil who's made a name – and a rap sheet – for himself by scaling New York City skyscrapers was arrested again Thursday night and accused of scaling a Murray Hill high-rise.

Justin Casquejo was arrested about 9 p.m. after climbing to the top of the 51-story Glenwood-Paramount Tower on East 39th Street, according to police. The news was first reported by the New York Daily News.

Casquejo, 19, has become famous for climbing to the top of NYC landmarks and posting photos and videos of dizzying views.

An NYPD spokesman told Patch that Casquejo was charged with reckless endangerment and criminal trespass. A 911 call alerted officers to his location at the building at 24o E 39th St., which houses luxury apartments.

Casquejo is currently facing charges related to scaling skyscrapers after a November arrest.
