WATCH: Union Square Holiday Market Assembled In Time-Lapse Video

A dizzying time-lapse video of the Union Square Holiday Market shows it coming together in one week.

UNION SQUARE PARK, NY — A new time-lapse of the Union Square Holiday Market shows how the massive outdoor shopping center is assembled in Manhattan in one short week.

The market, which opened last month, offers gifts and other items from more than 150 vendors. You can buy everything from MTA-themed ties and mugs to giant, handmade marshmallows to jewelry made from old coins. You can see a full lineup of vendors here.

The market returns to Union Square this year courtesy of Urbanspace, the market-makers who put up markets throughout the city.

  • 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., Monday through Friday
  • 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturdays
  • 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Sundays
  • The market closes at 4 p.m. on Dec. 24.
