What to eat: Tapa Lounge offers up a wide variety, all stemming from its base menu of Indian tapas. The restaurant, from the same restauranteurs behind Hell’s Kitchen’s Badshah, opened last week.

Brigitte

What to eat: Brigitte is a French-Brazilian restaurant set to open on Friday, just in time for a dinner out after work. The space at 37 Canal St. has been empty for nearly two years after the closure of Skal. At Brigitte, the menu ranges from smoked paprika dusted octopus to New Zealand lamb chops.

Aviary

Location: 80 Columbus Circle, Midtown

What to eat: You’ll mostly be drinking here, actually. Aviary comes to New York from award-winning Chicago origins. If you’ve got some extra pocket money for your night out this weekend, Aviary is a good option with better views. Artisanal cocktails and small plates are paired with spectacular views of Central Park in this 90-seat hot spot.

Mood Ring

Location: 1260 Mrytle Ave., Bushwick

What to drink: This brand-new Bushwick bar takes inspiration from, as you might have guessed, astrology. The rotating cocktail list will align with the current zodiac sign. Things will start off with a Zodiac inspired drink for $12.
