GREAT NECK, NY — A Great Neck man will host a new TV competition on Food Network.

Hosted by food podcaster Dan Ahdoot, "Raid the Fridge" challenges four top-notch chefs to think outside the box when faced with mystery fridges. They'll choose to cook from one of them and will be forced to make do with whatever contents are inside.

Is the fridge of a bachelor more well-stocked than one for a family of four? They'll find out in this whacky, fast-paced comedic competition.

The competition will unfold over three rounds of challenges. And their work will be judged by caterer to the stars Jamika Pessoa and TV personality and chef Jordan Andino. The winner gets a fridge full of cash.

"I've always been a big foodie and I started this food podcast, 'Green Eggs and Dan,' that melds comedy and food, and that really took off," Ahdoot, 43, told Newsday.

A part-time owner of NYC restaurant Estella, Ahdoot told the news outlet that he "always had fingers in both the food and comedy worlds, and 'Raid the Fridge' is my chance to finally combine them."

"Raid the Fridge" premieres on Tuesday, Dec. 28 at 10 p.m. EST.
