Manhasset Secondary Names Longtime Teacher New Assistant Principal
Adam Kuranishi was appointed to the role of assistant principal and brings "years of experience at Manhasset," district says.

MANHASSET, NY — Manhasset Publich Schools appointed a new assistant principal last month. Adam Kuranishi has worked in the district in several roles, the district said, most recently as an administrator for human resources.
Kuranishi taught social studies and special education before becoming Manhasset's administrator of assessment and data analysis for K-12.
“I am thrilled to have Mr. Kuranishi with us in the role of assistant principal,” Dean Schlanger, principal of Manhasset Secondary School said in a news release.

“His years of experience at Manhasset will be a true asset to our school community. He is excited and we are happy to have him be a part of our secondary school team.”
Kuranishi has a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Illinois at Chicago, a master’s degree in secondary inclusive education from Teachers College, Columbia University, and anadvanced certificate in educational leadership from Hofstra University. He is pursuing a doctorate degree in social studies education from Teachers College, Columbia University.
