1 Hospitalized For Elevated Carbon Monoxide Levels In Dix Hills

One person was hospitalized due to high levels of Carbon Monoxide at a Dix Hills home on Tuesday morning, fire officials say.
Dix Hills firefighters responded to an oil burner emergency at a home on Arbor Lane at 8:30 a.m. An adult was taken to Huntington Hospital to be treated for elevated Carbon Monoxide levels.
Firefighters responded to this scene just minutes after the two-vehicle crash involving special needs adults.

Three Dix Hills fire engines and ambulances from the Huntington Community First Aid Squad and Greenlawn Fire Department responded to the home. The East Northport and Huntington Manor fire departments provided standby coverage, according to PIO Steve Silverman.
