$2M In Marijuana Seized In Dix Hills, East Northport: State PD
Authorities also seized $200,000 in cash, multiple vehicles and property worth millions of dollars.
More than 500 pounds of marijuana, $200,000 in cash and property worth millions of dollars were seized from two East Northport storage facilities and the home of two Dix Hills men during a search warrant last week, New York State Police announced Thursday.
Authorities seized the marijuana— with a street value of more than $2 million,— cash, multiple vehicles and property after search warrants were executed at the following locations:
- 1337 Carlls Straight Path in Dix Hills
- 2083 Jericho Turnpike in East Northport
- 2091 Jericho Turnpike in East Northport
Residents of the Dix Hills home, 57-year-old Steven Polizzi and 28-year-old Wesley Snider, were arrested and arraigned on Thursday, May 10. Polizzi was previously accused of being part of a coast-to-coast marijuana trafficking network in 2012.

Polizzi was charged with two counts of first-degree criminal possession of marijuana, second-degree criminal possession of marijuana and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.
Snider was charged with first-degree criminal possession of marijuana and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.

Both men were remanded to the Suffolk County Jail in lieu of bail.
The seizures and arrests were the result of a long-term investigation by the State Police Narcotics Unit.
