Dix Hills Teens Make Emoji Pillows For Orphans In Ukraine

Young children Mishpacha Orphanage in Odessa, Ukraine have new toys to play with thanks to the Chai Center.

Seventh graders from the Chai Center Noskin Hebrew School in Dix Hills recently made emoji pillows that were later shipped to orphans in Ukraine.

The pillows created by middle schoolers in CTeen Jr., a program at the Chai Center, are now in the hands of young children of Mishpacha Orphanage in Odessa, Ukraine. The orphanage provides care to 80 boys and girls from birth to 18 years old.

Children from the Mishpacha Orphanage in Odessa, Ukraine, play with the emoji pillows made for them by teens in the CTeen Jr. program at The Chai Center Noskin Hebrew School in Dix Hills.

Young teens who are a part of CTeen Jr. focus on humanitarian and social activities to help them understand their Jewish identity and the role they play in their community and beyond.
