Festivals in Full Swing This Week

Your guide to what's happening around town this week.

Town Board to Meet
The Town Board meets Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Town Hall. Pitbulls, Halloween, blighted properties and more are on the preliminary agenda.

Station Meetup
The Source the Station group will meet Thursday at Station Sports Family Center at 6 p.m. Thursday.

Fall Festival for Charities
The United Methodist Church of Huntington-Cold Spring Harbor is sponsoring its 25th annual festival to benefit several organizations, from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. The festival features a farmstand, plants, tag sale, pony rides and more. The church is at 180 West Neck Road, Huntington.

Digital Art Show
The Art League of Long Island will host a Digital Art Experience Friday from  7 p.m. to 9 p.m. The evening will include an interactive digital art workshop by David Miller, and a demonstration of Digital Sculpting by Brian Richardson.

Football Saturday
Both Half Hollow Hills teams are hosting football games Saturday; East takes on Longwood; West hosts North Babylon. Both games are scheduled for 2 p.m.

Neighboring Festivals
The 34th annual Greenlawn-Centerport Historical Association's Pickle
Festival is set for Saturday from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. at the John Gardiner Barn at 900 Park Avenue in Huntington. The association is promising more barrels of pickles than last year.  Overlapping the festival, at the corner of Park Avenue and Little Plains Road, is one next door, by the Developmental Disabilities Institute, from 10-3 p.m. at 25 Little Plains Road.

First-Aid Squad Open House
The Huntington Community First Aid Squad plans an open house Sunday at 2 p.m. at its headquarters at 2 Railroad St., Huntington Station.
