Garden Club, Driver Safety on the Schedule

The Sweet Hollow Garden Club meets from 10 a.m.-1:30 p.m. at the Half Hollow Hills Community Library.

Texting and Driver Safety
A national campaign to discourage texting and driving arrives Thursday at Whitman High School. The "It Can Wait"  campaign is a project of several mobile phone companies that want to deliver a message about the hazards of texting while driving; experts say such behavior is a factor in more than 100,000 motor vehicles crashes each year. Assemb. Chad Lupinacci, R-Huntington Station, and others will attend the 9:15 a.m. event. 

Revitalization Meeting
There's a meeting at 6 p.m. on the latest news about Huntington Station revitalization. The public is welcome at the meeting at  Family Station Sports Center.

Folk Music on the Schedule
The Folk Music Society of Huntington starts its Hard Luck Cafe series Thursday night at Cinema Arts Cinema.
