Students Honored in Scholar Artist Program

Three Half Hollow Hills East students have won awards  in three separate categories for the 2013-14 Scholar Artist program.

Sponsored by the Long Island Arts Alliance, Newsday and the New York Community Bank Foundation, the program recognizes students who achieve academic excellence and are highly talented in the disciplines of visual arts, music, theater, dance or media arts.

Sarah Sampino received a Scholar Artist award in theater; she was nominated by Dr. Danielle McRoy. Amanda Milberg received a Scholar Artist award in media arts; she was nominated by Allyson Uttendorfer . Cara Jacobson received an Award of Merit in music; she was nominated by McRoy.
