Man Shot 2 Years Ago In Harlem Dies From Seizures, Police Say
The shooting was deemed a homicide after the victim died and the accused gunmen had assault charges upped to murder charges.

HARLEM, NY — Two men are facing murder charges in relation to a 2016 Harlem shooting, police said.
Darius Hastings, 32, and Chester Taylor, 32, were charged with the murder of 26-year-old Pressie Taylor, police said. Taylor died in March after suffering seizures related to the injuries from a 2016 shooting, police said.
When Taylor died, the NYPD classified the case a homicide, police said. Hastings and Chester Taylor had previously been charged with assault for the shooting, police said.

Taylor was found suffering a gunshot wound to the head on the day of August 28, 2016 in front of an apartment building on West 137th Street between Lenox Avenue and Adam Clayton Powell Jr. Boulevard, police said. He eventually recovered and moved to Houston, Texas, police said.
Studies conducted by the city medical examiner determined that the seizures suffered by Taylor were related to the brain injuries he suffered in 2016, police said.
