Creep Gropes, Flashes Woman On E. Harlem Street, Police Say

The groping occurred in front of a school building on East 120th Street.

EAST HARLEM, NY — The NYPD is trying to identify a man wanted for groping and flashing a woman outside an East Harlem school building, police said.

A 42-year-old woman was waiting outside a school complex on East 120th Street between Third and Lexington avenues on the morning of Sept. 13 when she was approached by an unknown man who engaged her in conversation, police said. After a brief talk, the man walked away from the woman but continued to stare at her for about 30 minutes, police said.

When the woman started to walk away, the man approached her from behind and grabbed her buttocks, police said. The victim turned around to confront the man and saw that he was exposing his genitals, police said.

After flashing the woman, the man fled the scene on foot, police said. The suspect is described as a man between the ages of 25 and 40 who stands around 5-foot-9. He was last seen wearing an orange long sleeved shirt, dark colored jeans and black shoes, police said.
