HARLEM, NY — The neighborhood's biggest eating event is back: Harlem Restaurant Week will return this week for the 12th year, offering discounted meals at dozens of eateries.

A total of 60 restaurants are participating in Restaurant Week, which kicks off Sunday and runs through Nov. 21. (The twice-annual event was also held in February.)

Instead of typical cuisine categories, organizers Harlem Park to Park have divided the restaurants up by "vibe," ranging from "Hidden Gems" to "Best Booze" to "Live Music." They span across the neighborhood, as far south as 96th Street in East Harlem and as far uptown as 155th Street.

Also included in the festivities is the Uptown Night Market, whose final event of the season falls within Restaurant Week on Nov. 11. It will be held in its usual spot, under the Riverside Drive Viaduct on 12th Avenue at West 135th Street.

"As our restaurants continue to provide safe spaces for local residents and visitors to gather with family and friends, this season will focus on showcasing the unique curated experiences available within each neighborhood in addition to the array of menus offered," said Nikoa Evans-Hendricks, executive director of Harlem Park to Park, in a news release.

The event was organized along with Empire State Development, Harlem Community Development Corporation, New York Women’s Chamber of Commerce and Uptown Grand Central.
