Man Shot Dead In Harlem, One Arrested, Police Say

A 22-year-old man is facing murder charges in connection with the shooting.

HARLEM, NY — One man is facing charges for a fatal shooting that occurred on a Harlem street, police said.

Cameron Stokes, 22, was arrested Saturday and charged with murder, criminal use of a firearm and criminal possession of a firearm in connection with the killing of Louis Greene, police said. Greene, 30, was found early Saturday morning in front of a building on Adam Clayton Powell Jr. Boulevard suffering a gunshot wound to the back, police said.

Greene was rushed to Harlem Hospital where he was pronounced dead, police said.

Police are still investigating the murder and have not said what motivated the fatal shooting. Stokes is currently being held in jail and is expected to make his next court appearance on June 15, according to court records.
