Man Shot Dead In Harlem Fried Chicken Spot, Police Said

The man was shot in the head inside Village Fried Chicken on Amsterdam Avenue.

HARLEM, NY — A man was shot to death Sunday inside a Harlem friend chicken restaurant, police said.

Officers arrived at Village Fried Chicken, located on Amsterdam Avenue and West 146th Street, around 2 a.m. Sunday morning while responding to reports of a man shot inside the restaurant, police said. A 25-year-old man was found suffering a gunshot wound to the head and was transported to Harlem Hospital, police said.

The man was declared dead at the hospital, police said. The shooter had fled the scene before officers arrived, police said.

An investigation into the fatal shooting is ongoing, and the NYPD has not named a suspect, police said.
