Man Slashed In East Harlem Subway Station, Police Say
The man suffered a "deep laceration" from his ear to his chin on the right side of his face.
EAST HARLEM, NY — The NYPD is trying to identify two people wanted in connection with a Wednesday night slashing in East Harlem, police said.
A 60-year-old man was slashed in the face around 8:50 p.m. inside the East 116 Street and Lexington Avenue subway station following an argument with a woman, police said. During the argument, the woman placed a call on her phone and within minutes an unknown man ran into the station and confronted the 60-year-old.
The unknown man pulled out a sharp object and slashed the victim on the right side of his face, casing a "deep laceration" from his ear to his chin, police said. The man was treated at a nearby hospital for his injuries and released Wednesday night, police said.

The slasher and the woman fled the subway station and avoided arrest, police said. Police describe the woman as being in her 20s and standing about 5-foot-6 with a heavy build. The slasher is also in his 20s and stands about 5-foot-9 with a slim build, police said.
