Man Stabbed On East Harlem Street Corner, Police Say

The stabbing occurred after two men got into a verbal argument.

EAST HARLEM, NY -- The NYPD is trying to identify a man who stabbed a teenager in an East Harlem streen corner, polce said.

The unknown man and the teen got into a verbal argument in the intersection of East 110th Street and Park Avenue on the night of May 27, police said. The argument escalated when the man pulled out a sharp object, police said.

The 17-year-old was stabbed in the torse during the fight and later walked into the emergency room at Mount Sinai Hospital, police said. Police were notified of the stabbing during the hospital visit.

Police released a photo of the suspect this week. The man is described as having short black hair and was last seen wearing a black shirt, blue pants and white shoes, police said.
