Elderly Pedestrian Killed By Truck In Harlem, Police Say
The collision occurred when a truck backed into the intersection of West 149th Street and Broadway.

HARLEM, NY — An elderly pedestrian was killed after being hit by a truck Tuesday morning in Harlem, an NYPD spokesman said.
Hugo Santana was walking in the intersection of Broadway and West 149th Street around 9 a.m. when he was struck by a truck that was moving in reverse, police said. The 20-year-old truck driver remained at the scene of the collision and was not arrested, police said.
EMS rushed Santana to Harlem Hospital where he died of his injuries, police said. The collision occurred just three blocks away from Santana's Riverside Drive home, police said.
