VIDEO: NYPD Cop Wipes Out Riding Dirt Bike In Harlem
An NYPD officer, who was not wearing a helmet, crashed a dirt bike in a Harlem intersection to the delight of onlookers.

HARLEM, NY — An NYPD officer attempting to ride a confiscated dirt bike back to a Harlem police precinct wiped out while operating the vehicle Sunday, according to reports and a video of the crash posted online.
The cop, who was not wearing a helmet and appears to have blown through a red light, crashed the dirt bike after veering out of the way of a car in the intersection of Lenox Avenue and West 135th Street, the New York Post first reported. Police told the Post that the officer was treated for minor injuries and the department launched an internal review of the crash.
Video of the crash posted to Reddit shows the cop revving up the bike and even popping a wheelie before speeding into the intersection. A silver sedan drove into the intersection, forcing the officer to swerve to his left, lose control of the bike and fall to the ground. The dirtbike continued to skid down the road until crashing into another vehicle waiting for the light at the intersection, according to the video.
