Woman Threatened With Sexual Assault In Harlem, Police Say
A man pretended to have a gun and threatened to sexually assault a woman walking in Harlem. She was able to get help from a passerby.

HARLEM, NY — Police are trying to identify a man who threatened to sexually assault a woman on a Harlem street, police said.
A 32-year-old woman was walking Monday night on West 110th Street near Central Park West when an unknown man approached her and attempted to engage her in conversation, police said. The woman kept walking, which prompted the man to follow after her, police said.
The man told the woman he had a gun and threatened to sexually assault her, police said. When the woman flagged down a person walking by for help, the man fled the scene, police said.

The woman was not injured, police said.
The suspect is described as a man standing about 6-feet-tall. He was last seen wearing a purple sweatshirt and dark colored pants. Police released photos of the man (seen above) on Wednesday.
