Woman's Body Pulled From Harlem River, Police Say

EAST HARLEM, NY — Police recovered a woman's body from the Harlem River on Wednesday afternoon, an NYPD spokesman said.

Officers respond to a call of a woman in the water near East 111th Street and the FDR Driver around 2 p.m. Wednesday, police said. The woman was recovered from the river and pronounced dead at the scene by EMS, police said.

The city medical examiner will conduct an autopsy to determine the woman's exact cause of death. Police did not reveal any information about the woman's identity.
