Mega Millions Ticket Worth $1 Million Sold on Long Island

BREAKING: Someone who bought a ticket at a LI 7-Eleven has won a cool million. The $1.6 billion jackpot was hit, but not in NY.

A Long Island 7-Eleven sold one of the 36 second-prize winning tickets for Tuesday night's record-setting Mega Millions drawing. Those tickets are worth $1 million each, but all eyes were on the massive $1.6 billion jackpot and that is going to just one person who bought a ticket in South Carolina.

The 7-Eleven located at 722 Townline Road in Hauppauge sold a $1 million ticket that matched all five numbers and missed just the Mega Ball, according to the New York Lottery. Three other second-prize tickets were sold in New York at:

  • Stew Leonard's, 1 Stew Leonard's Dr., Yonkers
  • A&C Mini Market, 7701 17th Ave., Brooklyn
  • Stop & Shop, 2965 Cropsey Ave., Brooklyn

The winning numbers were: 5, 28, 62, 65, 70 and Mega Ball 5. The jackpot resets to $40 million for Friday night's drawing.
