Cactus Salon Leaves Longtime Home, Moves to Branch Shopping Plaza

A longtime north side of Main Street staple, the black Cactus Salon sign will no longer adorn the white brick facade of its former home.  

Instead, the salon – with a brand new red illuminated sign hanging over the storefront – moved across the street into the Branch Shopping Plaza. The Smithtown location of the salon chain, formerly located at 55 East Main Street, is now wedged between Branch Barber Shop, located at 116 East Main Street, and Journey Tours & Travel, located at 106 East Main Street.

Cactus Salon has 28 locations on Long Island including ones nearby such as St. James, Nesconset, Commack, Deer Park, and East Setauket.

A representative for the salon could not be reached for comment by time of publication.

The space at the former home of the salon didn't remain vacant for long, as Phountain, a health club and alkaline water store, has already moved in.
