'Frankie The Cat', Believed To Have Come From Bermuda, Now 'Doing Well' At Home On Long Island: Rescue
The well-traveled feline is believed to have had quite an adventure.

HOLBROOK, NY — "Frankie" the mystery cat definitely seems to have lived out several of his nine lives.
The friendly, older feline showed up at Amazon's warehouse in Holbrook in September, and he hung around there while some good Samaritans fed him until animal rescuer John Debacker was able to wrangle him.
At the time, it was a mystery how he ended up in the warehouse because his microchip listed his last owner as having lived in Bermuda.

His case had a lot of people in the rescue community working on it, Debacker said, adding that he gleaned some information from online community groups.
In his research, Debacker learned that "Frankie" originally came from the United Kingdom, and from there, moved to Turks and Caicos, Bermuda, and back to the states.

"Somehow it ended up in New York," he said.
The case was later cracked.
"Frankie" did live in Bermuda, but was transferred to a relative in South Carolina, and the owner asked the Last Chance Animal Rescue to find a home for him, so he was transferred to New York, a representative from the organization told Patch this week.
The cat was then adopted, and was in a home for years, when it got out, and was found at the warehouse at the end of the owner's street, the rep said.
He was evaluated medically, and there was no sign of neglect, and no medical issues beyond the typical ones of an aging cat, according to the organization.
He is now back with his family and is doing well, the rep said.
As far as the current cat life of "Frankie" is concerned, there was a happy ending.
